By supporting www.publisher.co.za you are supporting South African authors who have taken a leap of faith and published independently. Authors also receive more on the sale of each book through our site than they would selling through other outlets, especially bricks and mortor stores.

And while our credit card payment facilities are 100% secure thanks to added security such as Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCard, if you are still worried about using your credit card online, we also offer payments via direct deposit or internet banking (South African bank account holders only) for your convenience.

Payment options

You will be prompted to select your preferred payment method at Checkout. All payments are processed by PayFast, an independent and secure payment gateway.

• EFT (internet banking and direct deposits for South African bank account holders only): If you choose the EFT option, you will be required to fax us proof of payment using the Purchase Order number emailed to you as your deposit reference. This will help us link the deposit to your purchase. Your online confirmation and email notification at the time of purchase will contain our bank details as well the fax number for proof of payment.
• INSTANT EFT: If you choose the Instant EFT option, you will be directed to your bank account straight away where you can log in and make the EFT payment. We receive instant nofication when this is done so no proof of payment is necessary. Note that we DO NOT have access to your banking details when you choose this option - we only receive instant notification from your bank that payment has been processed.
• CREDIT CARD: VISA and MasterCard credit card payments are processed through a secure payment gateway offering a world-class security infrastructure. Data is secured using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology with up to 256bit encryption, with added security using Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.
• UKUSH & MIMONEY: Pay with your pre-purchased Ukash or MiMoney vouchers.

Delivery methods and costs

We currently use only two delivery methods. The delivery charge gets added automatically to your bill at the Checkout point.

• LOCAL DELIVERY is done via registered mail through the South African Post Office. This is a counter-to-counter service and costs R35.
  In instances where we hold book stock, local delivery is via a door-to-door courier service. There is no additional charge.
  
• INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY is done using a registered parcel service, with insurance. International delivery costs R220.

Purchasing ebooks and other downloadable products

Once payment has been confirmed a download link will be emailed to you. Kindly note that confirmation is done during office hours only.

• CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS: A download link is emailed to you within 24 hours of your purchase assuming a successful credit card transaction.
• EFT / DIRECT DEPOSIT PAYMENTS: A download link is emailed to you within 24 hours of receipt of proof of payment, or reflection of your payment in our account if no proof of payment has been sent. Who is responsible for order fulfilment?

BOOKS AND OTHER PRODUCTS: Your order is forwarded directly to the author / publisher / vendor for fulfilment. As the facilitating merchant we follow up on each sale with the listing party, ensuring that the order has been sent off within the stated dispatch period. Authors / publishers / vendors who fail to meet our delivery and dispatch requirements are not represented on this website.
